How We Research Our Guides: Sources, Checks, Commissions

This page explains how the guides on Trabaho Online are made. It applies to every guide on the site. Read it together with our editorial policy, how we use AI and affiliate disclosure.

Where the facts come from

We work from public sources: the pages of the platforms and providers themselves (fee pages, help centres, terms of service), official Philippine sources where a guide covers local rules (for example the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) and public statements by the services we describe. A fact that depends on a date, such as a fee, a payout method or a list of countries, carries the date we read it (for example “checked on 22 October 2026”) or is left out.

What we check

For platforms and services we look at the same points, as far as the provider publishes them:

  • whether the service accepts people in the Philippines
  • how and when it pays out, and which payout methods reach a Philippine bank account, GCash or Maya
  • the fees and the minimum withdrawal published by the provider
  • what the terms say about the type of work or account
  • whether the service has closed or changed

When a point is not published, we say so instead of guessing.

What we do not do

  • We do not run our own tests of the platforms, and we do not claim hands-on results. When a page says that a figure was measured, it names the source.
  • We do not open accounts or move money for our guides.
  • We do not accept payment for positive coverage or for a place in a list.

Guides we have written or revised since October 2026 aim to give prices, fees and earnings only with a dated source. Older guides are being reviewed; some still contain estimates without a source, and until a guide has been revised you should treat such numbers as a rough guide and check them with the provider.

How commissions work

Some links are affiliate links and are marked “Ad”. If you buy or sign up through one, the provider may pay us a commission and your price stays the same. At the time of writing our affiliate links go to Udemy, British Council English Online, Bridge TEFL, Wise, Payoneer, Systeme.io, NordVPN, Surfshark, 365 Data Science and Renderforest, and to Bluehost on hosting guides. For services without an affiliate link we earn nothing.

Because the services we link to pay us, a recommendation such as “our pick” comes from a publisher that earns when you sign up. Check it against the provider’s own page before you decide.
